SyncVelo Drive AI
Safer driving, with the evidence attached
Drive AI is SyncVelo's product for AI dash cams and driver safety, for business fleets and for car owners. Its own console is built on the SyncVelo account and opens on driving behaviour: harsh driving, speeding and idling, scored per driver and per vehicle. Dash cams, a review queue and incident files are planned.

Where Drive AI stands
What works today, and what comes next
Drive AI is built in deliveries, and a label here changes only when its delivery is done. Driving behaviour came first: it is worked out from what the trackers already send, and its pages are live in the console.

Road rules
Speeding judged against the road itself
SyncVelo Fleet matches each position to the road the vehicle is on and judges it by that road's posted limit for the vehicle's class. Drive AI's driver scores build on these same rules.
- Each road's posted limit, from map data kept on SyncVelo's own server
- Legal top speeds by vehicle class and country, and driving-time rules
- Overspeed and idling alerts by email, SMS, WhatsApp and push
- Drivers assigned by RFID card or iButton key, with the history kept
- Each road-limit alert names the road, the limit judged and the map data's date
Driving behaviour
Scores from the trackers you already have
Drive AI turns every trip into points and every driver into a score. Harsh acceleration, braking and cornering come from the tracker's own alarms, or are worked out from its positions when it reports every second or two; speeding is judged by the road's own limit, and idling by the engine running while standing. Each costs penalty points, and no new hardware is needed.
- Harsh acceleration, braking and cornering, from the tracker's alarms or its positions
- Speeding against the road's posted limit, graded mild, moderate or severe, and idling
- Penalty points per event, with forces your organization sets per vehicle class
- On SyncVelo Fleet's Driving page and in the Drive AI console
Scorecards
A fair ranking, driver by driver
Scores add up per driver and per vehicle: points per 100 km driven become a score out of 100, with the trend against the period before and rankings, so coaching goes where it helps most. A truck is judged by a truck's forces, not a car's.
- Scores per driver and per vehicle, per day
- The trend against the period before, and rankings
- Forces per vehicle class: cars and vans, trucks, buses, motorcycles
- Drivers known by their RFID or iButton key, or assigned by hand

Camera gateway
Live view, clips around each event, alarms with their footage.
To people
Review and coaching
A person will confirm each event before it counts; then coaching notes and the driver's own view.
Dash cams
Dash cams from many makers, alarms with footage
The planned camera gateway will connect dash cams that speak JT/T 808 and 1078, and others through adapters for their makers. You will see live view, clips around each event, and the camera's own ADAS and driver-monitoring alarms, as the camera reports them, with the footage.
- Forward collision, lane departure and headway alarms
- Fatigue, distraction, phone use, smoking and seatbelt alarms
- Clips from before and after each event
- Business fleets will also see their dash cams on Fleet's vehicle page
Review and coaching
A person will confirm each event before it counts
Every event will wait in a review queue with its clip, its speed and the road's limit. A person will confirm or dismiss it, and only confirmed events will count. Coaching notes and the driver's own view will close the loop.
- Confirm or dismiss, with the evidence beside each event
- Coaching notes kept with the event they are about
- Each driver will see their own record
- Nothing punitive without a person's review
Incidents
An incident file, ready when it matters
After a collision, Drive AI will gather the G-force, speed, position and video around it into one file, exported with hashes so anyone can check that nothing in it has changed.
- G-force and speed traces around the moment of impact
- The position on the map, and the video around it
- An export with a hash over each part
- Kept together with the event's review and notes
Car owners
For the family car, too
After the fleet deliveries, Drive AI plans a console for private cars: trips, location sharing with family, and theft and tow alerts, on the same SyncVelo account.
- Every trip, on a map
- Location shared with the people you choose
- Theft and tow alerts
Fair to drivers
Built to be fair before it is built to be strict
Driver safety works only when drivers trust it. These are the rules Drive AI is being built to, and where each one stands.
- RoadmapS3
A person reviews first
Nothing punitive will happen on a machine's word: a person will confirm each event before it counts.

Frequently asked questions
What can I use today?
Drive AI's own console, address and sign-in on the SyncVelo account, with the marketplace where an organization adds products. The console opens on driving behaviour: harsh driving, speeding and idling scored per driver and per vehicle, with trends and rankings (S1). It also has KPI dashboards of driving, each figure beside the period before (N2). Speeding by each road's limit, overspeed and idling alerts, drivers' RFID and iButton keys, and driving reports as CSV, XLSX or PDF work in SyncVelo Fleet.
How is speeding judged today?
In SyncVelo Fleet, each position is matched to the road the vehicle is on, using map data kept on SyncVelo's own server, and judged by that road's posted limit for the vehicle's class. Country rules add legal top speeds by vehicle class and driving-time limits. Each road-limit alert names the road, the limit judged and the map data's date.
How do driver scores work?
From the trackers you already have. Harsh acceleration, braking and cornering come from the tracker's own accelerometer alarms, or are worked out from its positions when it reports every second or two; speeding is judged against the road's posted limit, and idling is the engine running while standing. Each event costs penalty points, with forces your organization sets per vehicle class, and points per 100 km driven become a score out of 100 per driver and per vehicle, with trends and rankings. Alerts on a score threshold do not exist yet.
Which dash cams will work with Drive AI?
Planned for S2: dash cams that speak JT/T 808 and 1078, the open standards many makers follow, and adapters for makers that depart from them. Each model will be marked verified only after a bench test.
Will Drive AI decide on its own that a driver was distracted?
No. The driver-monitoring alarms planned for S2 (fatigue, distraction, phone use, smoking and seatbelt) will be the camera's own, shown as the camera reports them, with the footage. With the review queue planned for S3, a person will confirm each event before it counts.
Will drivers see their own record?
Yes, that is planned for S3: each driver will have a view of their own events, scores and coaching notes.
Is Drive AI only for business fleets?
No. Business fleets come first, and a console for private cars is planned for S4: trips, location sharing with family, and theft and tow alerts.
Do I need SyncVelo Fleet as well?
Drive AI and Fleet are separate products on one SyncVelo account, with one sign-in. Driver scores are in both consoles today, and business fleets will also see their dash cams on Fleet's vehicle page when dash cams arrive. Tell us about your vehicles and we will suggest what fits.
