Smart cities & public safety

One control room for a city's cameras, vehicles and sensors

Watch junction and square cameras live, follow buses and service vehicles on the map, and connect the city's sensors to IoT OS over MQTT, with alerts on their readings. Video can stay on the city's own servers.

  • Cameras from any maker
  • 268 tracker protocols
  • Video on the city's own server
  • Lawful limits built in

The challenge

What gets in the way today

  • Cameras from many makers and contractors, each with its own system
  • City vehicles that nobody can see in one place
  • Sensors scattered across separate dashboards
  • Strict rules on surveillance in public space

Control room

Available

Every city camera in one control room

Junction, square and depot cameras from any maker on one console, grouped by district and live in about a second. Run the media server on the city's own network if video must stay there.

  • RTSP and ONVIF Profile S cameras, from any maker
  • The city's own media server, or SyncVelo's
  • Short-lived stream tokens, checked per organization and site

City vehicles

Available

Buses, waste trucks and service vehicles, live

SyncVelo Fleet follows city vehicles through 268 tracker protocols: the live map, trips, geofences, speeding against each road's limit, and maintenance by distance, hours or days.

  • Geofences for depots, routes and districts
  • Alerts by email, SMS, WhatsApp and push
  • Service plans and work orders

Crowds and traffic

Roadmap

Crowd and traffic signals, planned

Crowd density and heat maps, crowd-risk early warnings, and wrong-way driving, illegal stops and red-light events on calibrated views are on the roadmap. Crowd-risk gives trained staff risk signals; it does not prevent incidents by itself.

  • Crowd density and heat maps
  • Crowd-risk early warning; falls and SOS gestures
  • Number plates only after legal review, where the law allows

How it fits together

One account for every city system

Each product has its own console; one sign-in opens them all.

  1. 01

    Connect cameras

Junctions and squares as sites, cameras from any maker, on the city's media server or SyncVelo's.

  2. 02

    Fit vehicles with trackers

Buses and service vehicles report through 268 tracker protocols.

  3. 03

    Bring in sensors

Air, water and lighting sensors over MQTT, with alerts on their readings.

  4. 04

    Run one control room

Live video, the live map and alerts, with roles deciding who sees what.

Lawful by design

Public space, handled lawfully

Limits that hold in every city, whatever the request.

  • No emotion recognition, nothing that predicts what a person will do, and no inferring of sensitive traits.
  • Number plates and face matching only after legal review, country by country, where the law allows.
  • Crowd-risk warnings are risk signals for trained staff; they do not prevent incidents by themselves.

Frequently asked questions

Can video stay on the city's own network?

Yes. Vision AI works with SyncVelo's media server or the city's own: SyncVelo arranges each session, and the video goes from the city's server to its viewers.

Is number-plate recognition available?

No. Number plates are a regulated module, planned only after legal review, country by country, and only where the law allows.

Can SyncVelo track city buses today?

Yes, with SyncVelo Fleet: the live map, trips, geofences, speeding against each road's limit and maintenance. Specialist public-transport features are on the roadmap.
